Dreams are expressed in a language of symbols, images and stories. And there are certainly some common themes and culturally shared symbols,, but each person has their own dialect. The meaning behind a particular dream will be influenced by the dreamer’s experience, and by the emotional content that is associated with that image. Dream dictionaries cannot provide the nuance necessary to understand an individual person’s dreams.
